Eleven Rack Vst Plugin

  • YES! I’ve sadly neglected Reason, barely touching it since getting into Ableton and Maschine. I hate switching back and forth running it in rewire, so this is the perfect solution. Going to finally be getting a lot of mileage out of those Rig bundles I thought I wasted money on.

  • Good move.
Now please update compact so we can have longer tracks and more instances lol
I'm am iOS guy what can I say lol

  • Very interesting. Doesn't make me wanna go back to desktop production but pretty smart given how popular (seemingly) the whole modular / rack thing is lately. So if you load Complex-1 in the Reason Rack VST in .. anything.. it's like. Modular-ception

  • Holy crap this is huge. I love Reason instruments and I’ve always enjoyed the Matrix sequencer ,been there since day one but it’s great. Even though Reason was my first DAW I never jelled with the sequencer, back then I’d rewire it into Cubase. Reason in Live is going to f’n rock. Oh man can’t wait to use Kong, Grain, Pulverizer and the list goes on.

  • Wish upgrade price was cheaper but I have a bunch of unused racks, so this will def great in Ableton.

and I wish the drag and drop feature to copy midi patterns from Reason to AL

  • $129 for the standard upgrade. Not bad, but I’ll wait for a sale. Be nice to have it as a vst.

  • I hope they have a better authorization system with the vst side. Dongles and internet verification are a bit of a drag.

  • @SanMateo I think the auto system is the same, you can either register a single machine at a time or use the internet verification method. They have a FAQ up for the new version that’s coming out.

@MonzoPro I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sale on the upgrade version I have seen sales on Reason Lite/Essential to full, and the full version itself being on sale but not the upgrade purchase. I’m no expert though just something I myself haven’t seen

  • I've been wanting track freeze for ages in Reason. Now I can use Reason devices and use a different DAW with track freeze. I guess that is progress.

I wouldn’t swear to it if quizzed by the SPG or the Inquisition, but I think I once bought a Reason upgrade at a sale price. 6.5 to 8.

Ah that's a shame. I had a good deal on Lite to full though.

  • This looks awesome, the only concern I have is on the website is it says VST3 and Audio Unit later this year. I’m hoping it’s also Vst not Just VST3, I know Ableton does VST3 now but other Daws like MPC desktop doesn’t do VST3, an we won’t get in Logic of course until Au. I guess when the Reason Rack AU drops I’ll be good since MPC does au plugins too. Haven’t heard anything about AAX yet. Anyway this is going to be an epic!!!!!!

  • I’m kind of surprised the reaction has been so muted. Reason has some amazing devices. Just thinking of all the great Kong kits right in a Ableton track and sequenced in a clip makes me excited. They’re adding new devices as well. The standard upgrade price with or without sale seems fair in my mind.

  • I’ll be more excited when the AU version drops later this year. iPad os, using Reason in Logic Pro, and my mpclive and force will probably be at version 3.0! Gonna be a good new year for me!

  • wow, that’s very cool. i e always liked reason instruments, but hated their DAW workflow. so this will be very cool finally be able to use this outside of reason

  • If you have an existing full reason license (any version from 1.0-10) then the upgrade price does occasionally go on sale.

I have an old v4 license, and they seem to frequently offer me an upgrade deal at £89.99 (instead of £129.99)

Note - I don’t think the upgrade sale applies to people upgrading from Lite/Essential - just as @icsleepers stated

  • Looks cool. So buy full Reason for this, yes? That’s how it works with FL Studio as VST..

Depends on your Daw, if it's Logic Pro then wait till the AU, When I can use it for MPC then a big yes for me. IDK know much I'll end up using Reason but I'll definitely use the Rack plugin.

  • I haven’t upgraded Reason in many many years. But as soon as the AU drops I will do!

I’ve not been this excited about Reason since I was on the Beta for version 1!

It seem to keep everything I loved about Reason and lets me get shot of everything I disliked (I vowed never to use Rewire again around version 3. I never did!).

  • Does anyone remember the old Reasonstation.com website where you could upload and download reason projects? That was the first music making site I obsessively visited. My favorite review I got said my track sounded technically terrible and like it was made by a drunk pirate but he loved it lol.

Yo, I was busy on Reasonstation back in the day.

  • Ableton Live Project Export out of Gadget and worked up with Rack Extensions could be fun.

I’d probably snap it up for that, it’d be good to have the Grain Sample Manipulator in Live, I like that one.

  • The upgrade from my ancient version of Reason to v10 is £109 which includes a free upgrade to v11. My jeva jnymfk feat mac kody download. I don’t think I’ve ever been offered a discount and tbh I think that’s a pretty cool deal for the au alone.

Here's what they sent me back in March. Makes me think they will likely tempt me under the £100 mark again in future.

My question. Is studio edition really gonna be worth the extra over standard??
